Minister visits QAAFI

The Honourable Mark Furner MP Queensland Minister for Agriculture Industry Development and Fisheries visited QAAFI on 2 July.

Minister Furner met with a number of women researchers at QAAFI who were featured in our Innovation in Agriculture newsletter’s feature published on International Women’s Day, showcasing a range of different research activities in the agriculture and Food Industries. The visit was hosted by QAAFI Director Professor Robert Henry, and Minister Furner accompanied the Director of QAAFI’s newly launched Centre for Horticulture, Professor Neena Mitter, on a tour of the tissue culture facility and agricultural nanotechnology lab at the University of Queensland’s St Lucia campus.
