Bavarian Ministry for Education, Science and the Arts visits UQ

Dr Michael Netzel was invited by the UQ Global Engagement office to join the networking morning tea event with the Bavarian Ministry for Education, Science and the Arts and their accompanying academic delegation on Friday the 3rd of March. As part of their first official Australian tour, 13 Presidents and Vice-Presidents of Bavarian Universities and Universities of Applied Science have accompanied 7 representatives from the Bavarian Ministry of Education, Science and the Arts as they explored opportunities to strengthen scientific cooperation with Australian partners and identify new and successful mechanisms to support teaching, research and student mobility initiatives. Michael informed the Bavarian State Secretary and Leader of the Delegation, Mr Bernd Sibler and TUM’s Interim Senior Vice-President, Dr Hannemor Keidel, about his successful collaborative research activities with Prof. Michael Rychlik (TUM) who is also a UQ Honorary Professor since 2016.
