Shukti has been awarded the prestigious ‘UQ Graduate Training Scholarship’ to pursue her doctoral degree at UQ QAAFI. She has been appointed as 'Associate Professor' in the Department of Plant Pathology, Faculty of Agriculture, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Her research interest includes the areas of Plant Pathology, Plant Biotechnology, Integrated Disease Management, Molecular Biology and Cell Biology. After successful completion of Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University with ‘Dean’s Award’ for excellent result in the senior year, Shukti has obtained a Master of Science degree in Plant Pathology with 1st position achieving 90% or above marks in both course work and research work assessments. She was also granted ‘National Science and Information & Communication Technology (NSICT) Fellowship’ for excellent research for Master of Science in Plant Pathology funded by Ministry of Science and Information & Communication Technology, Bangladesh. She has completed Master of Applied Science (Research) degree from Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Brisbane, Australia and the major focus of her research was on Plant Biotechnology. For pursuing the MAppSc (Res) degree, she has been awarded the highly prestigious ‘Endeavour Postgraduate Scholarship (Masters) Program round 2017’ funded by the Australian Government Department of Education and Training. She has experiences in handling research projects and advising Masters thesis students. She has published research articles in renowned national and international journals. She served as ‘Assistant Hall Provost’ for 'Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall' in Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University. Shukti is a life member of 'Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University Teacher's Association', ‘Australia Alumni Association Bangladesh’, ‘Bangladesh Phytopathological Society’ and Krishibid (Agriculturist) Institution, Bangladesh. She has volunteered as a 'Volunteer Student' in the International Student Service (ISS) and as a ‘Steward’ in a tissue culture laboratory in Centre for Agriculture and the Bioeconomy (CAB) in QUT.
