Mr Andrew Short

Andrew is Managing Director of Pacific Seeds, a leading Australian broadacre seed breeder and supplier. He has more than 15 years agribusiness experience across agronomy, product management, business development, marketing and senior executive roles.

A clear and authentic communicator, over the course of his career Andrew has gained experience working collaboratively across cultures in fields such as in and out-licensing, intellectual property, corporate affairs and turning research projects into commercial reality. 

Andrew is currently a director of Australian Crop Breeders Limited, a board member of the Queensland Alliance for Agriculture and Food Innovation (QAAFI) Advisory Board and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Prior to joining Pacific Seeds, Andrew was an agronomist in the North Star and Croppa Creek region of Northern New South Wales.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Agronomy) from the University of Queensland, a Diploma of Business from Monash University and has completed Executive Education courses at INSEAD, France and Wharton Business School, USA.
