Dr Danila Elango

Danila Elango has recently joined the Health, Safety and Facilities (HSF) team at QAAFI as a Safety and Compliance Coordinator. Danila comes from a background in research, completing a PhD in biochemistry at SCMB last year. Prior to this, she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology with Honours (majoring in Microbiology and Innovation Management). Danila has held various roles within and outside of UQ, including working as a Project Officer in a UQ-wide curriculum review led by SCMB, a laboratory attendant, a casual demonstrator, and she has also worked in customer service within the retail sector. Danila is looking forward to supporting the HSF team, staff, and students at QAAFI in this role that combines her interests in research and HSW, along with the skills and experience she has gained from her multiple and diverse roles.
