ASReml-R for Linear Mixed Model analysis of breeding data

- Introduction to using R and simple matrix algebra
- Introduction to fitting simple linear models in R with ASReml
- Methods for spatial analysis in univariate mixed linear models
- Methods for mutli-location mixed linear models
- Methods for repeated measures mixed linear models
- Methods for mixed linear models incorporating genetic structure
Workshop details
For each of these modules, there will be a 30-40 minute lecture on theoretical background followed by 1-2 hour demonstration or prepared script which we work through.
Each participant will be required to have their own laptop with R, R studio and ASReml installed. A temporary license for ASReml will be made available to participants. No prior knowledge of R or ASReml is assumed, although a little working knowledge of R will be advantageous.
Morning and Afternoon Tea & Coffee will be provided.
