Pete Lewis joined the ABC in Newcastle in 1980 and since then has worked around Australia and around the world for ABC News programmes. As he himself says, he’s clocked up a lot of miles and not all of it on bitumen. He takes over the Rural & Regional Network News round after a five year stint as executive producer of Landline. Pete’s based in Brisbane but has an overnight bag packed and ready to go. Pete is currently a freelance journalist with Way With Words.
