Mr Shunichiro Tomura

Shunichiro is a second year PhD candidate at the Centre for Crop Science.  Using his background knowledge of machine learning and AI, his project aims to develop novel prediction models that can improve the performance of genomic prediction in crop breeding. The improvement of prediction accuracy in genomic prediction is expected to accelerate genetic gain, ultimately resulting in crop yield increase to address the food security issue.
