Winners announced for the 5th Animal Science Poster Olympics 2018

The 5th Animal Science Olympics is on and we are welcoming poster submissions from all researchers in animal science. If you are not submitting a poster, come and support your peers. Please note we are only accepting one poster per person.

This year, prizes have been sponsored by Meat & Livestock Australia, Beef Central, Chook Shack Chat, Virbac, Boehringer Ingleheim and Australian Society of Animal Production – Queensland Branch.

  4. Australian Society of Animal Production – Queensland BranchAnimal Production Research’ poster prize for research that aims to improve the productivity and/or sustainability of livestock production in either intensive and/or extensive systems (includes all production animals) 
    $1000 and Membership to the to the Australian Society of Animal Production. Open to early career researchers: under 35 or current undergrad or postgrad student or have submitted PhD/Masters thesis in last 8 years

  6. Chook Shack Chat (Agrifutures Australia, Australian Eggs, Poultry Hub Australia) “Innovation for the poultry industries”, $1500, HDR only

Poster abstract submission closes: 5:00pm, Friday, 23 November 2018

Note 1: Each applicant can only enter into 2 award categories maximum.
The applicant must be available with the poster on 30th November event with poster up by 2pm (venue open from 12pm).

Note 2: Cash prizes are travel awards for conferences only, Students musts be students to access that award $$
i.e. Honours students are encouraged to also apply but can only claim the award whilst still a student or during a subsequent PhD studies program.
