Bruce Phillips from Murri Tukka will present a talk and taste experience, delving into the world of bush foods, plants, and the significance of relational protocols. Enjoy a share table showcasing native flavours and cultural insights.
Spiritual and Cultural Safety in an ethics context: 12–1:30pm
Josh Waters will explore the intersection of spirituality, cultural safety, and ethics in contemporary contexts, including AI, Carbon Credit, and thought experiments, prompting critical reflections on ethical considerations in evolving fields. Talk from 12–1pm and light refreshments from 1–1:30pm.
Meet the presenters:
Bruce Gululai Phillips is the owner and founder of Murri Tukka, which provides a unique learning experience on where tukka grows, what it is used for, and how it can be prepared both traditionally and today.
Joshua Waters is a First Nations K/Gamilaroi man, PhD student and Senior Research Fellow with the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Deakin University. His work explores the critical role of Indigenous Knowledges in global higher education and institutional contexts.
