Researcher biography
Dr Nilmini Jayalath joined QAAFI, Centre for Nutrition and Food Sciences, in 2019, before working for QAAFI, Centre for Horticultural Science, UQ SAFS and QUT.
Dr Jayalath obtained her PhD in 2016 from the University of Adelaide. Her expertise spans in Plant and Soil Nutrition, Plant Abiotic Stress Physiology, Plant Molecular Biology (Plant Biotechnology and Tissue culture), Soil Biogeochemistry, Environmental Chemistry & Management and Analytical Chemistry.
Dr Jayalath was a Research Project Officer with the Land and Water at CSIRO (2007-2016), and the Centre for Australian Centre for Plant Functional Genomics at the University of Adelaide (2007-2008).
