Our Health, Safety & Facilities Manager, Aaron Hughes, is responsible for compliance with UQ, DAF and legislative requirements including Workplace Health and Safety, Office of the Gene Technology Regulator and Department of Agriculture and Water Resources for all QAAFI personnel and QAAFI managed facilities, ensure contractual compliance with the conditions on the DAF Research Facility Access Master Deed. He develops, implements, conducts, audits and reviews safety information for policies, plans, procedures, guidelines, inductions, training, risk management, risk assessments, wellness and health & safety culture improvement processes.  Aaron manages the scope of facility support to QAAFI research groups and liaise with UQ Property and Facilities, UQ Security, UQ OH&S Division and contractors.
